Our Story
Who We Are
We are a small Nigerian Dwarf dairy goat herd located in Benson, Arizona, just outside of Tucson. Our goal is to breed high-quality Nigerian Dwarfs for both the homesteader and the show enthusiast.
Keeping our herd small allows us to be intentional about our breeding program and focus on what matters most to us: creating goats that excel in production, performance, structure, and personality. Our goats are more than livestock—they are family here at High Juniper.
🐐 Where It All Started
My passion for dairy goats began during my high school years when I participated in 4-H as a showman. I still remember the excitement of winning my first Grand Champion. That experience sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since.
After high school, I attended college with aspirations of becoming a large-animal veterinarian. When COVID changed the way education was delivered, my plans and dreams took a different direction.
In the years that followed, my high school sweetheart and I got married and started our own family. Today, I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mother to our sons, while also being able to return to something I have always loved—raising and showing goats.
🌱 Building Our Herd
I officially restarted my Nigerian Dwarf herd in 2022.
Since then, I have taken great pride in the animals and genetics I have brought into our program. We are continually working toward improving our herd and making thoughtful breeding decisions based on genetics, production, structure, performance, and overall quality.
I also believe that being a good breeder means never stopping learning. The dairy goat industry is constantly evolving, and I am always looking for opportunities to learn more, improve our program, and make better decisions for the future of our herd.
Our goal is not simply to produce beautiful goats. We want to produce well-rounded Nigerian Dwarfs that can be successful in the show ring, productive on the homestead, and wonderful additions to their families.
Most importantly, we want every goat born at High Juniper to be raised with care, purpose, and pride.
From a 4-H showman with a dream to a small family herd in Benson, Arizona, High Juniper Nigerians is built on a lifelong love for goats, a passion for learning, and a commitment to continually improving.
